Bath City Football Club have launched a new partnership with the organisation Her Game Too - which aims to champion the women's game.

To mark International Women's Day, the Romans will be hosting a double-header weekend next month with the men's and women's fixtures.

They're 'warmly inviting' daughters, sisters, wives, mums, aunties, grandmas and nieces to head to Twerton Park on the 9th and 10th of March.

WIth free entry for all children under 16 when accompanied by a full paying adult (up to 4 children per adult), the club say there will be plenty happening for all the family to get involved with.

Activities include an ice cream van, tuck shop, penalty shoot-out in Charlie’s, face-painting, Design-A-Kit competition and flag waving on the pitch for under 12s.

During the match on the Saturday, The Romans will be accompanied onto the pitch just before 3pm KO by an all-female team of Mascots from Bath City Youth Girls U12s team.

There will also be a penalty shootout on the pitch at half time with players from the Women’s first team and the club is expecting a very special visit from Somerset FA’s mascot Blaze and Bladud.

On the Sunday (which is also Mother's Day), Bath City Women’s First team will be also a Twerton Park, where they'll be taking on Shaftesbury.

The club say that match will be free entry for all in the final BCFC women’s fixture of the season.

Her Game Too is an award winning campaign that was started in 2021 and aims to create a safe and inclusive environment for all female supporters, where they feel empowered to engage with the game and are treated with respect both on and off the pitch.

They aim to promote the visibility of women’s football and encourage its growth through championing the women’s game and supporting grassroots girls’ football development.
