Arrest made over sex offences in Bath
Police are investigating five incidents in total.
A man's been arrested on suspicion of committing a number of sexual offences in Bath.
It follows reports of indecent exposure incidents, and a teenage girl being touched inappropriately.
Avon and Somerset Police arrested the 57-year-old man on Friday June 14th.
It is in relation to reports of a man exposing himself on three occasions.
Two of the incidents were on Wansdyke Path, the other in a supermarket car park on Frome Road.
There were separate reports of a man touching a teenage girl at a bus stop in Wellsway, and a woman in a supermarket.
Police say they are stepping up patrols and working with local schools to assist with safeguarding concerns.
Chief Inspector Scott Hill, Bath and North East Somerset Neighbourhood Policing Team commander, said: “These incidents have understandably caused significant concern in the community, particularly among women and girls.
“Protecting women and girls from male violence is one of our priorities and I hope the quick arrest of a man suspected of committing these awful incidents is reassuring to the public.
“The man has since been released from custody while further enquiries take place but with very strict conditions not to attend Sainsburys, any of the locations at which the offences took place as well other neighbouring streets. "
