Collision with a pedestrian and lorry closes A4

There is lots of congestion around the area today

There are delays on the A4 between Bath and Bathford today, after a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Batheaston bypass between London Road, Bath and the A363 Bradford Road, Bathford at around 8.45 today.

The A4 was closed for a number of hours in both directions, although traffic is now moving westbound.

We are being advised to avoid the area, although a diversionary route is in place.

Police always want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. They particularly would like to see any dashcam footage.
