Staff 'shaken' after Kilmarnock store robbery on Dean Street

Staff in a Kilmarnock shop have been left ‘shaken’ after robbery this week.

Detectives in Kilmarnock are appealing for information following the robbery at the shop in the town on Wednesday, 12 July, 2023.

It happened around 5:15pm on Dean Street when a man entered the premises and made off with a three-figure sum of cash.

He was last seen heading in the direction of Orchard Street, William Street and Witch Road.

Suspect description

The suspect is described as around 5ft 10in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a black jacket, light grey jogging bottoms, and black trainers.

Staff were uninjured but shaken by the incident.

Detective Constable Craig Ryan said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious or who may have potential CCTV or dashcam footage from nearby to please come forward.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 2837 of 12 July, 2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
