Kilmarnock crash puts 22-year-old in hospital with 'serious' injuries
The one-vehicle crash happened on Sunday 10 September on Dundonald Road around 9:40pm.
Police in Kilmarnock are looking for witnesses after a crash in the area put a 22-year-old man in hospital with ‘serious’ injuries.
The crash involved one vehicle and took place in the Dundonald Road area of Kilmarnock on Sunday night.
It happened at around 9:40pm on Sunday 10 September 2023, and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa carrying two men in their 20’s.
22-year-old remains in hospital with 'serious' injuries
Emergency services attened the scene and transported a 22-year-old man to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. He remains in the hospital with serious injuries.
Another man, aged 21, was taken to Crosshouse hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Road Policing Officers in Ayrshire are now looking to establish the full circumstances of the crash and are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area near the time of the crash to get in touch.
Appeal for dash cam footage
Sergeant Scott Gourlay, from the Irvine Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the crash remain ongoing.
“We are appealing for any other motorists or pedestrians, who were in the Dundonald Road area last night and believes they may have seen the Corsa prior to the crash, to please come forward.
“We are also particularly keen to hear from anyone with possible dashcam footage from the area.
“If you have any information which could assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 4159 of 10 September, 2023.”
