Body found in Dean Park area of Kilmarnock

Police say the death of a woman this morning is unexplained but there are no suspicious circumstances.

The body of a woman has been found in a Kilmarnock Park this morning.

Police in East Ayrshire were called to Dean Park in Kilmarnock, after a body was found in the area.

They received the call at around 7:20am on Monday 31 July.

Detectives currently say he death of the yet to be named woman is being treated as unexplained, bu there are no suspicious circumstances.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 7.20am on Monday, 31 July, 2023, police were called to the Dean Park area of Kilmarnock, following the sudden death of a woman.

“Officers remain in the area and the death is being treated as unexplained pending further enquiries, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
