Police investigating attempted murder of two Ayrshire men

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward

Police are appealing for witnesses after the attempted murder of two Ayrshire men.

The incident occurred on Saturday July 8 on Forde Crescent in the Hyslop Road area of Stevenston, at around 12.40am.

Two men in their late 20s were found seriously injured by police, before being taken to hospital.

Both have since been released, but officers have opened an inquiry.

Police appeal

North Ayrshire CID Detective Sergeant Peter Sweeney said: “Enquiries are ongoing into the attack, and we would appeal to anyone who was in the area between 12.20am and 1am to come forward to police.

“Forde Crescent is a residential area, and I am sure people would have either seen or heard the disturbance outside.

“If you have not yet come forward to police and may have information that could help our investigation, including dashcam or doorbell footage, then please call police via 101.
