OAP pushed to the ground and kicked by 3 men in Troon assault
Police are appealing for witnesses over the assault that took place on Monday on North Shore Road, Troon.
An old age pensioner has been assaulted in Troon, and now police are appealing to the public for potential witnesses.
A 71-year-old man who was working as a toilet attendant on North Shore Road in the town, when he challenged three men in a cubicle together to leave.
The men from the cubicle then followed the 71-year-old down the street and pushed him to the ground before repeatedly kicking him in the body.
The incident happened at around 1:30pm on Monday 28 August further down the street near a bus stop.
Police are now looking to speak to two cyclists who stopped to help the OAP but left before Police could get their details.
The suspects are described as being white and all of skinny build. All are believed to have been wearing hoodies and one had a puffer jacket in top. One had a balaclava or something similar on their face.
Inspector Ian McColl said: “This was a distressing incident for the man involved and we are continuing with extensive enquiries to identify the others involved.
“We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV from the area to get in touch.
“Two passing cyclists also came to the man’s aid but left before giving their details. If this was you please get in touch as you may be able to help with our investigation.
