A 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the recovery of drugs worth £120,000 in Ardrossan.

Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were seized by officers from the Ayrshire proactive crime team, who executed a warrant at an address in the Chapelhill Mount area of the town yesterday.

The man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court this Monday, April 17.

Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to tracking down those responsible for the supply of illegal substances.

“Anyone with information or concerns about drugs should contact us on 101, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
