Police say they are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 55-year-old woman who is missing from Irvine.

Anne Macdonald was last seen in the Kilwinning Road area at around 11.30am on Monday.

She is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of medium build, with long black hair with purple ends.

She was last seen wearing a long-sleeved, blue denim dress with buttons down the centre.

Sergeant Catriona Eaglesham, Irvine Police Office, said: “This is out of character for Anne to be missing and we’re urgently trying to trace her.

“I’m appealing to anyone who has information on Anne’s whereabouts or who thinks they may have seen her since Monday morning to get in touch.

“Anne, if you see this appeal, please contact police so we can make sure you’re safe and well.”

Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 2423 of 3 June, 2024.
