Concern growing for 40-year-old man reported missing from Ayr

Police are looking for help from the public to trace a 40-year-old man who has gone missing from Ayr.

Lachlan Gray, known as Lachie, was last seen in the town at around 9.50am on Monday 1 May.

He was driving his champagne-coloured Mini Cooper, with registration BT56 FYD, and officers believe he may have travelled to other areas in Ayrshire and Glasgow.

Lachlan is described as 6ft tall, of medium build, short, fair/blonde hair and blue eyes. When last seen, he was wearing a grey t-shirt and light blue jeans.

Sergeant Martin Lawrie said: “We have growing concerns for Lachlan and as time goes by we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We are appealing to the public to keep a look out for his vehicle, and if Lachlan or his vehicle is spotted, please contact police via 101.

“If anyone has seen Lachlan or has any information which could assist in our enquiries, please get in touch.”

Anyone who may have seen Lachlan or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 3370 of 1 May, 2023.
