The 53 year old's family have been informed
The body of a man has been found in the search for missing Dumfries man Dane McGill.
Police are yet to formally identify the man, but Mr McGill’s family have been informed.
Officers say the discovery was made at around 3.45pm on Sunday 28 January.
The 53 year old was last seen around lunchtime on Friday 10 November, in Dalswinton, Dumfries.
Police said at the time it was “out of character” for Mr McGill not to be in contact with his family.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal, but there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
