A760 near Largs closed after lorry and bus collide on Haylie Brae
A lorry and a McGill's bus have collided on the Haylie Brae this morning.
A major road in North Ayrshire has been closed this morning after a lorry and a bus collided near Largs.
A young man has been taken to hospital as a precaution after the crash this morning, with another reported six passengers on-board. However, officers responding to the crash say there are no reported injuries.
It happened around 8:40am on the A760 near Largs on one of the well-known Haylie Brae’s hairpin corners.
Police say the road is currently still closed as they wait on recovery vehicles to remove the HGV and the 904 McGill’s bus.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were called around 8.40am on Monday, 9 October, to a report of a crash involving a school bus and a HGV on the A760, Dalry Road, Largs.
“Emergency services attended and there were no reported injuries. One teenage boy attended hospital as a precaution.
“The road is currently closed while recovery of the vehicles is arranged.”
