A woman will stand trial accused of murdering a mum in Aberdeen last year.

Dionne Wilson is accused of killing Sara Irvine at a property on Auchinleck Road on April 17 during a struggle.

It is claimed Wilson lunged and grabbed the 34-year-old, causing the woman to fall onto a sofa.

Wilson is accused of then attacking the mum with a knife.

The 31-year-old is separately charged with the attempted murder of a man - who is believed to be her partner - on the same day at another property in the city.

Wilson is pleading not guilty and a trial has been scheduled for November.
