Two men who died in an Aberdeenshire crash at the weekend have been named as 23-year-old Cameron Pearson from Aboyne and 32 year-old Asad Saghir from Stockton-On-Tees.

The accident happened on the B9077 South Deeside Road near Maryculter around 3pm on Saturday afternoon involving a black Volkswagen Golf, grey Skoda Kamiq and grey Audi Q5.

Cameron's family said: “Our beloved son, Cameron Pearson, sadly passed away on Saturday following a car accident.”

Tributes are being paid online to both men.

Road Policing Sergeant Pete Henderson said: “Our thoughts remain with the families and friends of Mr Pearson and Mr Saghir at this time.

"They have asked that their privacy be respected at this time and we will continue to support them as our enquiries progress.”

Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
