Man charged after car crashes near Aberdeenshire rail line

A man has been charged after a car crashed on an Aberdeenshire road and rested near a nearby rail line.
Officers were called to the road between Gartly and Huntly around 9:50pm last night.
The 22 year-old was taken to hospital as a precaution however no injuries were reported.
Rail journeys on the Inverness-Aberdeen line have been disrupted as a result of the incident.
Network Rail has confirmed that the vehicle is "too close to the rails" for services to safely run following the incident, which occurred between Huntly and Insch.
The car was pictured by Network Rail on its roof sitting next to the tracks, forcing the closure of the line overnight.
ScotRail services to Inverurie currently remain unaffected and Network Rail says it expects the line to be reopened this afternoon.
Network Rail tweeted: "A car has crashed on to the railway between Huntly and Insch. It's too close to the rails for us to safely run trains.
"We're working with the emergency services to have the vehicle removed so that the line can reopen.
"We've been working with the police overnight to find the best way to move the car, as it's in an awkward position for recovery vehicles to access."
Scotrail is running a limited train service between Inverness & Huntly.
It is also running replacement buses and eligible train tickets can be used on the following service
- Angus 10 & 10B: Inverness - Aberdeen
- 31: Elgin - Forres
- 35: Elgin - Aberdeen
- 37: Inverurie - Aberdeen
