Man charged after Aberdeenshire cannabis bust

A man has been arrested and charged after drugs were found in a home Aberdeenshire.

Cannabis worth around £15,000 was recovered from an address on Bleachfield Street in Huntly around 3pm yesterday.

The man was released on an undertaking and is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Constable Robyn McKay said: "Recoveries such as this highlight our determination to protect the public from this type of harmful criminality and make communities safer.

“Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we would continue to urge anyone with knowledge or concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.
