Man, 27, charged after stinger used to stop car in police chase

The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A 27-year-old man has been charged after a stinger was used in a police pursuit in Aberdeen.

On Wednesday 12 March, officers were alerted to a black Honda CRV car being driven erratically with no number plates on display.

They traces the vehicle on Auchmill Road however it failed to stop.

The car was pursued for a short time before officers used a stinger device on Back Hilton Road, bringing the car to a stop.

The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, 13 March, 2025.
