Ventilation and water issues at two new Aberdeen hospitals could mean redesigns costing millions after infection control teams raised concerns.

The issues over Foresterhill's Baird Hospital and Anchor Centre - originally set for completion in 2020 - follow serious problems with the systems at the Queen Elizabeth in Glasgow and the new Sick Kids in Edinburgh.

The overall cost is already double the original budget, partly because of covid and inflation.

The matter's due to be discussed at an NHS Grampian board meeting on Thursday.
