The hunt for a car involved in a serious crash on the A90 near Ellon is underway.

Police say they responded to a collision around 6.45am last Tuesday near the Lintmill Brae Roundabout.

Officers added they had received reports a white Audi Sport had been struck by another vehicle who left the scene prior to emergency services arriving.

And a post on social media at the time detailed the car was struck from behind by another vehicle before tumbling down an embankment, dropping off a ledge and landing upside down in a river.

Emergency services told Northsound News the two men inside, a 41-year-old and his 36-year-old passenger, had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

Constable Ross Hay said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of this crash.

“I am appealing to anyone who was on the road around that time and who may have witnessed the crash and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone with any dashcam footage which could help our enquiries to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0409 of 12 November, 2024.
