Police say a 32-year-old Elgin mum sustained a 'violent attack' as they continue their murder investigation.

Keisha Donaghy was found dead at her home on Anderson Drive on Thursday 17 November.

Speaking to the press this morning, Detective Superintendent Lorna Ferguson said Keisha sustained a "violent attack" with "mainly head injuries" but it was "impossible to tell" what weapon was used.

A suspect is yet to be identified in the investigation, DS Ferguson insisted "somebody somewhere" knows who they are, and they "will catch them".

DS Ferguson continued to described Keisha as a "popular girl, loved by friends and family" who are "concerned and devastated" by her death.

Yesterday, a fresh appeal was issued, urging anyone with any information to come forward even if it seemed insignificant.

Police Scotland's Major Investigations team are dealing with the investigation, with over 40 officers working in the area to find out what happened to Keisha.

Flower tributes began to line up at the end of Anderson Drive on Monday, which remains cordoned off by police.

A police presence is expected to remain in the area in the coming days while investigations continue.
