Dozens charged after Aberdeen city police operation
Operation Galaxite saw patrols in the area throughout September
More than thirty people have been charged with street drinking, theft, drug supply or public urination as part of a police operation in Aberdeen city centre.
Operation Galaxite targeted hotspots around the city and George Street area.
It involved both uniformed and plain clothed patrols throughout the month of September.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “As part of our ongoing commitment, Operation Galaxite has been instrumental in addressing antisocial behaviour.
“This initiative involves proactive uniformed and plain clothed patrols by officers, taking swift action against offenders.
“During a number of dedicated patrols throughout September, in excess of 30 individuals have been charged for various offences, including; Street Drinking, Theft by Finding, Drug Supply, and Urinating in Public.
“These actions reflect our unwavering commitment to addressing antisocial behaviour across the city.
“We are continuously working to ensure a safe environment for all residents and visitors.
“The support and cooperation of the public are invaluable in making our community a better place.”
