Pair accused of armed assault and robbery of Aberdeen taxi driver to face trial
Shaun Fraser and Jason King are accused of holding an "improvised weapon" consisting of "needle with a tape handle" at the neck of the driver.
Two men are to stand trial charged with an armed assault and robbery of an Aberdeen taxi driver.
Shaun Fraser, 41, and Jason King, 31, are said to have carried out the attack at a car park near a block of flats in Morven Court in Aberdeen on September 18 2023.
They are accused of holding an "improvised weapon" consisting of "needle with a tape handle" at the neck of the driver.
The pair are further said to have made threats, stated they had a knife as well as demanded money and the PIN number to the alleged victim's phone.
It is claimed they stole both the cash and the mobile.
Defence lawyers for Fraser and King pleaded not guilty to the accusation at a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today.
Lord Colbeck set a trial due to begin in November this year.
