The two-vehicle collision happened at Fordoun around 3.40pm.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and diversions are in place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The A90 is currently closed at Fordoun, following a two-vehicle crash which took place around 3.40pm.

“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and diversions are in place.

“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
