Hunted series eight: Winner revealed after tense final chase
Your ultimate guide to series eight
Last updated 4th Nov 2025
As well as another Celebrity Hunted to look forward to next year, fans of Channel 4 reality show Hunted have been hooked on the eighth series over the last few weeks. After the final episode dropped on Monday 3rd November, here's your ultimate guide to Hunted series eight, including who managed to escape the hunters.
What is Hunted?
First airing back in 2015, Hunted features a number of ordinary people attempting to go on the 'run' for 21 days, trying to outrun an elite team of Hunters in the process.
The team of Hunters over the years has consisted of both former and serving police officers, as well as intelligence personal who have access to things such as call tracking, ANPR and CCTV in an attempt to find the fugitives.
Leading the investigation from Hunted HQ for series eight is former Detective Superintendent of the Thames Valley Police, Ray Howard. Ray has led many complex investigations. Now he oversees a handpicked team of top police, military personnel and cyber security experts, armed with the powers of the state which includes CCTV, ANPR, Facial Recognition technology, helicopters, surveillance drones, tracker dogs and mobile phone monitoring.
Speaking about what he loves about Hunted, Ray said: "My favourite part about filming Hunted is the thrill of the chase. Every series brings new challenges and unpredictable moments, which keeps the excitement alive. The teamwork and strategy involved in tracking down the fugitives is tough but also very rewarding. The team is incredible and brings together some of the most capable people from the policing, military, cyber, and analysis disciplines. It’s an experience that keeps us guessing as much as the audience, we never quite know what is coming next with the fugitives."
When is Hunted on TV?
Series eight of Hunted started at 9pm on Sunday 12th October, with new episodes airing every Sunday and Monday night. The final episode landed on Monday 4th November.
Leon Wilson, CEO Shine TV & Zeppotron, said earlier this year: "We’re thrilled to be back into production on two new series of Hunted in 2025 for Channel 4. The series was co-developed by our brilliant new Director of Programmes, Matt Bennett, who I’m delighted to say will once again be overseeing the show. Viewers are also in for a treat with the Celebrity version, with an ace cast of new celeb fugitives raring to go on run."
Ian Dunkley, Commissioning Editor Documentaries & Factual Entertainment for C4, added: “It’s great to be returning one of Channel 4’s most popular brands. Expect thrills, spills and the latest cutting-edge tech, as once again the fugitives discover just how hard it is to escape the investigative skills of a seasoned team of hunters.”

Series eight sees the 14 fugitives attempting to escape from Stansted Airport in London.
Channel 4 say of the opening episode: 'Unknown to the fugitives, every move they make is tracked by facial recognition cameras as they travel through the terminal building. Ray immediately deploys his helicopter and ground teams to the airport, giving the fugitives just minutes to escape before the hunters arrive on scene'.
Lead investigator Ray Howard has also teased a twist for series eight, saying: "Without revealing too much, there is a brand-new aspect to the show that took us all by surprise. It introduces a new element of decision-making for the contestants, involving huge risks and huge rewards for the fugitives brave enough to try. This was a game- changing move and kept us all on the edge of our seats, but you’ll have to watch to see if it works out for them!"

In separate cars, Marie and Shaq headed to the extraction point at the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone, and whilst in the traffic to board the train, Marie was caught by the ground team hunters.
Knowing of his whereabouts, the hunters left Marie in an attempt to find Shaq, but he was too quick for them, boarding the train to win the £100,000!
