Three more arrests over Leicester shooting

It brings the total number of arrests to eight - following an incident on Mulberry Avenue almost three weeks ago

Police have made a further three arrests as the investigation into a shooting in Leicester.

Two men aged 34 and 38 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 28-year-old woman is in custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

It takes the total number of arrests to eight.

The incident occurred in the evening of Saturday 3 February. Officers were called to Mulberry Avenue just after 11pm to a report of the discharge of a firearm into a stationary car in the street.

The man in the car, who is in his 30s, sustained a minor injury as a result of the incident.
