Teenager stabbed in Nottingham

Police are hunting a man following the attack on Monday evening

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted in the street.

The 15-year-old boy was walking along Brewsters Road, close to the junction with Ransom Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham, when he was stabbed by an unknown man at around 5pm on Monday 6th February 2023.

The victim was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre and treated for injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are carrying out extensive inquiries in the area and analysing CCTV footage. They also want to hear from any witnesses who were nearby at the time and saw anything.

The offender is described as a white man, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, and was wearing a black balaclava and black gloves.

Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is an extremely serious incident and we want to speak to anyone who has information which could help with our investigation.

“It took place at quite a busy road junction and at a busy time of the day. Did you see anyone matching the description of the offender? If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, or were driving along Ransom Road and have dash-cam footage, please get in touch immediately.

“People can expect to see a large police presence in the area while we investigate the full circumstances of the incident. If anyone has concerns about what happened please speak to an officer.”
