Nottingham Forest have won promotion to the Premier League after Steve Cooper's side beat Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the Championship Play-Off Final.

It was a memorable first appearance for the club at the new Wembley Stadium, and the win means Forest will be back in the top flight of English football for the first time since 1999.

They'll join Fulham FC and AFC Bournemouth, who were automatically promoted earlier in the season.

The only goal of the game arrived just before half-time in the 43rd minute when James Garner's delivery into the box was converted into his own net by the unfortunate Huddersfield defender Levi Colwill.

Huddersfield had a couple of penalty appeals turned down in the second half, but the Terriers were ultimately unable to get back on level terms.

The result means Forest are back in the top flight of English football after a twenty-three year absence.
