A main road in Leicestershire has re-opened, after a lorry spilled its load of offal all over the carriageway.

The A5 was closed in both directions between the A47 Dodwells roundabout and junction 1 of the M69.

National Highways said it happened at around 4.20am (26th OCT).

A specialist clan up operation was carried out by Veolia.
