A third person has been arrested amid Leicestershire Police’s investigation into a shooting last month.

It happened on Evington Road in Leicester back on the 22nd of November, when officers were called to reports of two men being shot.

A 27-year-old from the city was taken in on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, and has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Officers say extensive enquiries continue, with their work seeing them analysing CCTV, carrying out forensics work, house-to-house and issuing a number of public appeals.

A 24 and a 29-year-old, both from Leicester, previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder remain on police bail.

Detective Inspector Hazel Sandall, from the force’s Complex Investigation Unit, said: “Our investigation into this incident is still very much ongoing and a number of enquiries are still being actively progressed.
