Leicestershire police have broken up a bonfire party on a nature reserve which featured a sex doll tied to a tree.

Police received a call just before 6.20pm reporting the gathering on Aylestone Meadows.

The officer who attended said they "never thought" that they "would discover this in the woods".

The officer added that "This was quickly stopped and everyone was told to go home. Please we have a part to play in helping the community follow the rules."

The force have confirmed that the group were dispersed and no fines were issued.
