Stereophonics, have announced an extensive spring 2022 UK arena tour and a massive Welsh stadium show in support of their newly unveiled 12th studio album ‘Oochya!’.
Released on Friday 4th March 2022, ‘Oochya!’ is the follow-up record to October 2019’s ‘Kind’, which became Stereophonics’ seventh album to reach Number 1 in their distinguished 25-year career.
‘Oochya!’ was recorded at The Distillery in Wiltshire and all songs on the 15-track album are written by Kelly Jones. The singer and guitarist also produced the record alongside Jim Lowe and George Drakoulias.

Ahead of the album’s release, Stereophonics will play a special end of year show called ‘We’ll Keep A Welcome’ at Cardiff Principality Stadium on Saturday 18th December 2021.
The band will be joined by fellow Welsh acts Tom Jones and Catfish & The Bottlemen at the colossal concert, and it marks the third time they’ve headlined the stadium following sold out concerts there in 2001 and 2003.
Next spring, Stereophonics will head then out on a lengthy UK trek opening at Manchester AO Arena on Friday 18th March 2022 and calling in at Aberdeen, Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Nottingham and London before culminating at Birmingham Resorts World Arena on Saturday 2nd April 2022.
Frontman Kelly Jones says of ‘Hanging On Your Hinges’ and ‘Oochya!’: “‘Hanging On Your Hinges’ was influenced by my love of early ZZ Top and darker stuff like Masters of Reality and maybe some Iggy Pop too and probably nods back to ‘Bartender & The Thief’.
“It’s the song on this album that says ‘Oochya!’ more than anything else, so it’s something we wanted the fans to hear first. Having done some really emotionally lead and introspective songs on the last album (‘Kind’), we decided to come back with a bang this time, give the fans something to get a little loose to.
“The album title (‘Oochya!’) was always a saying me and the band used in the studio to mean “let’s have it”, a blast of energy and optimism and that’s what we wanted to get across with ‘Hinges’.”
Stereophonics ‘Oochya’ comes complete with a visually striking cover inspired by the late-great pop artist Roy Lichtenstein.
The album is available to pre-order on CD, double heavyweight LP plus exclusive coloured vinyl formats and digital with HD audio RIGHT HERE.
