Worcestershire man named after fatal A448 crash
The formal identification of a man who died in a collision on the A448 on 18 August has today taken place.
Nick Bennell who was 35 years old and had lived in both Redditch and Worcester, was travelling along the A448 on his motorbike when, following a collision on 18 August, he died.
A woman in her 40s and from Redditch was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The family of Nick, who was a father of two children have today expressed their gratitude and thanks to everyone who has contacted them on social media to extend their sympathies. They have asked that everyone be told that they have seen all their well-wishes but understandably have not been able to respond to every message.
The family would also like to highlight all the passers-by and other motorists who stopped in order to help Nick following the collision.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of those present, including police and paramedics in attendance, Nick died at the scene of the collision and the family would like to thank the all the emergency services personnel who provided aid to Nick.
