A Worcester paedophile has been jailed for nine years after he was found guilty of sexual offences against children.

Michal Friga, 42 and of Wyld's Lane, committed the offences between March 2020 and March 2021 and was convicted in August by a jury at Worcester Crown Court.

He's now been sentenced to nine years in prison, with police saying the conviction relied on the victims' statements.

West Mercia Police said it was complex investigation run by acting Detective Sergeant Gemma Leighton from South Worcestershire’s Protecting Vulnerable People department.

Friga was jailed for one count of sexual assault by penetration for which he received seven years custody and two further counts of sexual assault by touching for which he received a further two years custody.

He will also be required to sign the sex offenders register for an indefinite period and has been made subject of a sexual harm prevention order, also in place for an indefinite period.

Detective Sergeant Marie Green said: “This was a complex and challenging case whereby the case relied on the testimony of the victims.

“Their strength and determination to speak openly about the abuse they had suffered was a credit to them for which they should be very proud of themselves.

“If anyone has suffered similar or needs the support of the police, please do not hesitate to contact us.”
