A fundraiser has raised over nine thousand pounds in 4 days for Shifnal Town Ladies player, Danielle Jones, after she received a terminal cancer diagnosis.

The money is to go towards a holiday to Disneyland for Danielle and her son Harry.

Players at the club are "truly devastated" by the news, which Danielle told them all on Monday.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer before Christmas, which has now spread to her liver.

The last game Danni played was on December 4.

Rebecca Williams is one of Danielle's teammates and said: " The girls have come together really quickly. Danni is the most kind-hearted person you could know.

"She's always there for us and you'll never hear a bad word about her.

"We've raised a good amount of money at the moment, since her family set up the original GoFundMe page. We need to try and support her as much as possible.

"We don't want her having any worries at all, so she can enjoy the quality time with her family."

Another wish of Danielle's is to be part of the Lionesses in some way.
