Candidates standing in the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner 2021 election

People across the West Midlands will be voting on 6 May to elect the force area's next Police and Crime Commissioner.

The election was originally due to take place in May 2020, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

These are the six candidates standing in the 2021 election (listed alphabetically):

Simon Foster, Labour

Simon Foster's worked as a legal aid solicitor for 34 years.

Julie Hambleton, Independent

Julie Hambleton set up the Justice 4 the 21 group after her sister Maxine was killed in the Birmingham pub bombings.

Mark Hoath, Reform UK

Mark Hoath worked for Lloyds Bank for 25 years before working as a consultant.

Jon Hunt, Liberal Democrats

Jon Hunt is the Leader of the Liberal Democrats group at Birmingham City Council.

Desmond Jaddoo, We Matter Party

Desmond Jaddoo is a Bishop and campaigner.

Jay Singh-Sohal, Conservatives

Jay Singh-Sohal has been a British Army Reserve Officer for the past decade.
