Warwickshire Police officer charged with sexual offences against children

The alleged offences took place before he was a police officer.

A Warwickshire Police officer has been charged with a series of sexual offences.

PC Paul Hanson, 32, who is a response officer based at Bedworth Police Station has been charged with three counts of rape of a girl aged 13-15, seven counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15 years old and one count of sexual assault. The alleged offences occurred before he became a police officer.

The alleged offences were against four victims.

PC Hanson will appear at Coventry Magistrates Court on 14 February 2024. He is currently suspended from duty pending the outcome of the case.
