Two teens die after car crashes into tree in Coventry

Two other teenagers were rushed to hospital with serious injuries

Two teenagers have died and two others have been seriously injured after a car hit a tree on Burns Road, Coventry, this morning (19 March).

Police were called at 5.20am to the road, near the junction with Longfellow Road and Walsgrave Road.

The driver and a passenger from the car, both aged 18, were found in a critical condition and were declared dead at the scene.

Two other men - also aged 18 - are believed to have been passengers from the car, and sustained serious injuries. They were taken to hospital for treatment.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “We’re working hard to find out how the collision happened. If you were in the area at the time and either saw what happened or have dash cam footage, please get in touch.”
