Two men shot with pellets in Coventry as police launch investigation

The men were injured within half an hour of each other on Saturday

An investigation's underway after pellets were fired at two men in Coventry.

A man, in his 30s, reported being shot in the stomach on Lockhurst Lane on Saturday night, and less than half an hour later, an 18-year-old was shot in the face on Eagle Street.

Both of the victims were left with injuries which weren't serious.

Anyone with information is now being asked to come forward.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're investigating after pellets were fired at two men in Coventry on Saturday evening (26 March).

"We received a report of a man in his 30s being shot at in Lockhurst Lane at around 8.50pm. He sustained bruising to his stomach.

"Less than half an hour later we were alerted to an 18-year-old man being shot in the face in Eagle Street with a pellet gun. His injuries were not serious.

"We're working on the basis they’re linked and anyone with information can contact us via Live Chat on our website or by calling 101. Quote 20/331593/22."
