Two men arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Worcester

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Worcester.
Police were called to Wylds Lane in Worcester at 3.20pm today (11 January) following reports of a serious assault.
Two men were injured during the incident and were transferred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham by ambulance.
One of the victims, a 49-year-old male, has sustained serious injuries.
Two men, aged 23 and 48, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are in police custody.
There is a heavy police presence in the area whilst investigations continue. This is likely to remain for some time.
Insp Fergus Green, said: “We understand that incidents of this nature, and a large police presence, can be concerning for the public. I would like to reassure residents that we believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.”
