Two men arrested after drugs and cash found in Worcester

They were acting suspiciously in a black car yesterday when police stopped them.

Officers in Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) arrested two men after they were seen acting suspiciously in a black car on Thursday (July 27).

Around ÂŁ1,500 in cash and ÂŁ600 of crack cocaine was found in the vehicle which was stopped by police on Goldsmith Road in Worcester.

Two males – aged 22 and 26 – were arrested on suspicion of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

One was bailed pending further investigations and the other is set to be deported as he was in the country illegally.

Sergeant Brian Simpkins of Warndon SNT commended the officers involved for taking the drugs off the streets and protecting the community.

He warned potential offenders: “We do not tolerate drug dealing in Warndon and if you do so, you will be caught and brought to justice.”
