Two arrested over firearms incident in Warwick

It's after a disturbance in Hammond Close last night.

Two people have been arrested following a firearms incident in Warwick last night (2 February).

Warwickshire Police were called at around 11.30pm to a report of a disturbance at a property in Hammond Close, involving a man with a firearm.

Officers found a suspect in Bollingbrook Drive a short time later, and an imitation firearm was seized.

A 19-year-old man from Warwick was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

A 39-year-old woman from Warwick was later arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both remain in custody.
