Two arrested over baby death in Walsall

Two people have been arrested after the unexplained death of a six-month-old baby boy.

The child was found at a home in Caldmore in Walsall on Monday after police were called to the address.

In a statement - a 42-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of causing or allowing the death of a child.

They have since been bailed with strict conditions.

Police said a post-mortem examination would take place in due course to determine the exact cause of death and added that inquiries were ongoing.
