Two arrested after man seriously injured in attack in Worcester

A 29-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital.

Two people - a man, 46, and a woman, 40 - are being questioned by police after an attacked left a man, 29, in a serious condition in hospital.

It happened on Exeter Road at 5:15am yesterday (26 February).

The pair have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH).

Detective Inspector Laura Douglas said: “People will see an increased police presence around Exeter Road as we carrying out our enquiries into this assault.

"I would ask anyone who may have any information that could help, including any CCTV or camera footage in the area from early yesterday morning, to get in contact with us.”

Officers are asking for information from anyone who might have been in the area at the time.
