Police launch probe after Worcestershire tree illegally chopped down
West Mercia Police says it happened during broad daylight on Thursday.
A tree has been illegally chopped down in a Worcestershire town centre street, police say.
West Mercia Police want any witnesses to come forward after the tree was felled in Kidderminster.
Officers say they are investigating after the "substantial tree" was cut down in Comberton Hill.
They say it happened at around 1.48pm on Thursday 25th May.
In a public appeal, they said: "Officers are asking for the public’s help to identify the offender involved. Were you in the area? Did you see what happened?
