More than 450 cannabis plants have been seized after three drug dens were raided in Coventry.

West Midlands Police's Hillfields neighbourhood team acted on information about residential properties on Colchester Road being used for drug production.

Officers discovered plants with a street value of up to half-a-million pound - and electricity dangerously by-passed - after executing warrants on Wednesday (8 November).

Two men were later arrested and charged with production of cannabis and abstracting electricty.

The men, aged 21 and 32 appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court yesterday and have been remanded in custody.
