Three arrested over Birmingham shooting

Three people have been arrested over a shooting in Birmingham.

It happened on Shaw Hill Road, Washwood Heath last Sunday (30 April).

Shots were fired at a car and a man was treated in hospital for gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg.

A car was spotted by police yesterday evening (5 May) which was suspected of being involved in the incident. Officers stopped it on Linkswood Road in Birmingham at around 8.20pm.

Three men aged 27, 22 and 19 have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently being questioned.

West Midlands Police said: "We continue to investigate the Shaw Hill Road incident and we are still appealing to anyone with information or footage to contact us."
