Teenager arrested for stabbing in Sandwell

The 15 year old was arrested on suspicion of wounding.

West Midlands Police have arrested a teenager after another boy was attacked with a knife in Oldbury.

A 16-year-old sustained head injuries after he was slashed with a weapon in Pound Road at around 4.15pm on Friday (12 January).

He was taken to hospital with injuries which were not life-threatening.

Following enquiries a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of wounding this morning. He has been taken into custody for questioning.

West Midlands police say, "Knives can ruin lives and we're continuing to work with our partners to highlight the potentially fatal consequences of carrying a weapon, and take them off the streets."
