Teen charged with attacking 3 people in Birmingham city centre

A teenager has been charged after three people were assaulted in Birmingham city centre yesterday (19 September).

The group of friends were threatened and assaulted on Corporation Street at around 1.10am.

Officers including firearms, PD Wes and his handler raced to the scene and arrested two people nearby.

A 17-year-old boy was charged with three counts of assault and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (20 September).

An 18-year-old man who was also arrested has been released with a caution.
