The Easter Bunny arrived early at Solihull Hospital today as players from Solihull Moors F.C. delivered Easter eggs ahead of the weekend.

They have received over a thousand eggs from their fans, which have gone towards the hospital, care homes and food banks.

James Clarke, Solihull Moors player, said: "No one wants to be in hospital, especially over Easter so anything we can do to help cheer them up."

And Ethan Vaughan, who also plays for the team, said: "It's always nice to give back to the foundation and the children and to put a smile on their faces across the bank holiday period."

CEO of the University Hospital Birmingham Charity, Mike Hammond, said "We are so grateful to Solihull Moors for coming in and delivering eggs."

"To be stuck in hospital and for a nurse to be able to give you an Easter egg, it will put a smile on their face."
